The demise of the 24 hour supermarket?
The New Lynn Countdown has stopped being a 24 hour supermarket. While for refurbishments, there is no guarantee it will go back to full hours. That now leaves just one 24 hour supermarket in the city. Did you use the supermarket between 11 and 7 am? Do you miss the 24 hour availability?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
