Alberton Market Day this Sunday!

All set for the final Market Day of the season!! With over 35 stalls of specialty produce, handmade items, vintage bric-a-brac, plants & flowers and a super-dooper array of food vendors including Kraken Crumpets, Judge Bao, Guerrilla Grill, Ohlala Crêpe, Babickas Table, Mister Gelato and Living Juice (make sure you're hungry!) we're planning to go out with a bang!
The PAT (Pets assisting Therapy) mini-farm will be back as well as the enchanting face painters from Fairies Inc. There will be live music by Jasper Hawkins Music and talented young songstress Alexandra DeCastro.
Come and enjoy the last days of the extended summer in the garden at Alberton. Sunday 8 April 10am-2pm. Free entry.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
