West Auckland pays more - is it fair?

UPDATE: North Shore and West Auckland residents pay the same rates, but West pays more for rubbish. Check out Western Leader's latest update to find out the details.
Auckland Council charges $2.90 per tag for the small 80 litre bin in West Auckland, but head over to the North shore and you can pay $2.60 for the same tag. As for waste management rates, West Auckland and the North Shore pay the same amount. How do you feel about this?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
