National Volunteer Week celebrates the 1.2 million Kiwis who volunteer in our communities every year. The theme for 2018: Volunteers, The Heart of our Community – By many, the work will be completed, Mā tini, mā mano, ka rapa te whai, captures the essence of the volunteering spirit and the essential link between volunteers and the communities who benefit from their generosity. Many women know that something’s missing and sense a call toward a larger, a more fertile life but they don’t know what to do. Join us in exploring and reclaiming our creative intuitive nature as we sit in circle together and explore stories and myths on how to regain our divine feminine birthright and empower the wild woman within that is longing to thrive.
The emphasis in this 7 week course is based on the perceptions of the female psyche, the shadow, archetypal realities and revolves around the process of “gathering bones” that encourage women to enter the depths of the underworld (subconscious mind) to remember and retrieve parts of their authentic self which are lost or dormant. Parts that needs to be recovered and restored in order to support spiritual vitality and liberation. Let’s make contact with this fundamental and ancient layer of our being, the realm of the wild woman.
Facilitated by Dee Petit, a Certified Life Coach, teacher of Awakening the Illuminated Heart Meditation Courses and facilitator of Woman’s Empowerment Workshops throughout New Zealand. Dee was trained to work with women to assist and reclaim back their power by the famous Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, certified Psychoanalyst, Jungian analyst, storyteller and post-trauma recovery specialist and international bestselling author of “Women Who Run With The Wolves.”
