Destination Marlborough launches voucher comp to support local

Alice Angeloni Reporter from Marlborough Express

While Covid-19 might have put the country in lockdown for now, Destination Marlborough has come up with a new campaign to support businesses and celebrate our backyard.

The campaign, Marlborough's Brilliant Backyard, is kicking off with a quiz updated on Marlborough's main tourism website, marlboroughnz.com, every Tuesday and Thursday.

Each quiz asks four questions that can be answered through information that can be found "somewhere" on the website, and everyone who completes the quiz goes into the draw for a prize.

Tuesday's prize is a dining experience and wine match for two at Arbour, valued at $362.

Poll: Would you use a Picton-Blenheim Saturday bus?

Jennifer Eder Reporter from Marlborough Express

The Marlborough District Council plans to trial a Saturday bus between Picton and Blenheim, in response to feedback from Picton residents wanting to visit the new Blenheim library. It would leave Waikawa Bay at 9am and 1pm, and Blenheim's Seymour St at 10.10am and 2pm.
