Dogs downtown during October

Dogs will be allowed in Blenheim’s CBD during October, when the National Dog Show comes to town.

While Council’s bylaw prohibiting dogs in central Blenheim will be lifted for the whole of October, it’s important that dog owners are responsible during this time.

All dogs must be on a leash and under control at all times, and owners must clean up after their dogs. Failure to do so could result in a $300 fine.

Dog owners will be able to identify dog-friendly retailers by a paw print sticker displayed on the shop window or door. Find out more
