Playground triple dip win for Marlborough
Three new playgrounds are under construction, reflecting the Council’s commitment to improved facilities for children.
Pollard Park's foundation pads have been laid and the first ‘acorn’ pods have been installed. Completion is only a month away. The equipment from Pollard Park is being ‘upcycled’ for this site and will have a farm-style theme.
A new playground at Mark Smith Reserve, on the Boulevard Park on Taylor subdivision, is expected to be open by late June.
Construction of the new Renwick Domain playground is also progressing too, and expected to be opened by mid-June.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
