Injured Silvereye bird
We have been caring for an injured Silvereye. Sadly it seems he may never fly again though does manage to get himself up off the ground by around half a metre. We have him in a small cage presently. We wonder if there is anyone out there who has an aviary and would like to care for him, or alternatively have an aviary not in use that we could borrow/buy please?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
