The first South Island edition of the Reduced to Clear outlet store opened in Christchurch’s South City mall this month. It sells end-of-the-line products, cancelled exports or short-dated items - similar to other discount grocers in the city such as Save More and BargainMe.

Tree Removal and Maintenance at Woodend Beach
Fire-damaged pine trees in Tuhaitara Coastal Park and some old pines near the camp are being removed due to safety hazards.
Work near the South Domain is complete, next is the area north of the camp. The trees along the coast from the carpark north of the camp will be monitored.
After removing the trees, replanting with more suitable options is planned for next winter. Beach access will be affected during tree removal, with alternative routes available.
The Woodend Beach Carpark will be closed from May 20th to 27th.
