Reserves are not for mining
The Court of Appeal has issued a landmark decision today stating that reserves created under the Reserves Act take precedence over the Crown Minerals Act and are off-limits to mining.
This is a crucial decision not just for the proposed Te Kuha coal mine on the West Coast but for every reserve throughout New Zealand – including on the Coromandel Peninsula. Read more at - teggtalk.wordpress.com...
