Community Board Will Fund Thames Minibus Trial
Great news for the Thames minibus proposal –the Community Board approved funding at its meeting on Monday of up to $10,000 for preparation of a Business Plan for the proposal, and up to a further $39,000 for the operating costs of the 6 month bus trial.
Secondly Richardson’s Real Estate have very generously pledged $10,000 towards the operational costs of the trial (including the cost of “decals” for advertising on the bus). Richardson’s have also offered to promote the minibus service on More FM on their Community Notice Board and their Facebook page. Another potential sponsor will be considering their involvement next week. teggtalk.wordpress.com...

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
