Your own local orchestra performs Saturday week
Come and hear first year NZSM student Otis Prescott-Mason fly all over the piano with the Kapiti Concert Orchestra at 3pm Saturday May 15th in Te Raukura Kapiti Performing Arts Centre. Also, Beethoven's iconic 7th Symphony will be played by the orchestra in the 2nd half. Tickets $30 at eventfinda, Coastlands Service Desk, and door sales on concert day providing seats remain unsold. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
