CALLIGRAPHY Beginners Gothic and Fraktur Scripts
Friday 18th, Saturday 19th January 2019
This is a two-day course in which you will learn two Gothic Scripts.
On the first day you will learn and practice a simple Gothic Script.
Day two will cover the Fraktur Script, which is a more flourished Gothic type Script.
Maggie Salter has a love of calligraphy that started more than 20 years ago and since then she has undertaken many courses and workshops with both New Zealand and International calligraphers.
Maggie has been teaching calligraphy for over 10 years and it gives her much pleasure in seeing Students progress and enthusiasm in their quest to learn this art form.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
