Every family has a story about how they came to be where they are today. Did you, your parents, grandparents, or ancestors move from one country to another? Be inspired. Join us for the 5 weekly 2.5-hour local series of Write Your Story community workshops that commence on Friday 29th August, 9.30-12 noon Paraparaumu Aquatic Centre. Get started and gain momentum on your writing project in a supportive, fun environment. All that is needed is an open mind, a notebook, and a pen. Course notes and refreshments are provided. Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
