New exhibition
We are pleased to welcome a new guest artist to the gallery. Our latest exhibition (for April, May and June) features the work of Waikanae artist Yoshi Matsumoto, whose acrylic paintings cover a wide range of subjects.
Our summer schedule of opening Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1-4pm has been popular, so we are keeping the same schedule for autumn. No entry fee, but donations welcome.
Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
