Food Recall: Kinder Surprise Maxi Eggs, Kinder Mini Eggs Hazelnut, Kinder Happy Moments Ballotin and Kinder Maxi Mix with plush toy

James from Waikanae

This Kinder recall just got bigger.

Ferrero Australia Pty Ltd is expanding their recall to include all batches and sizes of specific Kinder brand chocolates manufactured in Arlon, Belgium due to the possible presence of Salmonella. Only Kinder brand products made in Belgium are affected by this recall. Affected products should not be consumed. Toys within the affected products should be discarded as they may be in contact with the affected chocolate. There have been cases of illnesses reportedly linked to Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs, manufactured by Ferrero International S.A. in Belgium. There have been no confirmed cases in New Zealand, however if you have consumed any of this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.

Note: Only Kinder brand products from Belgium are affected. All other Kinder products (including Kinder Surprise 20g eggs made in Italy), sold in New Zealand are not affected by this recall.
