Work began on the first of four bridges earlier this month and will be completed later in February. Similar work will be required on the other three bridges and contractors anticipate each bridge will take about five weeks to complete.
The main detour route is via Kelly Road and Te Tumu Rd. This should allow most people to access their properties as only one bridge is being taken down at a time. Access will be allowed through the traffic management if no physical access is possible in any other direction.
