Lawn bowls is one of the few sports that can be played for a lifetime irrespective of age, gender, culture or physical ability and is a great way to meet with new people.
Our friendly clubs welcome new players and people that just want to "have a go" can try the sport through a wide range of social bowling programmes during summer. To find out more visit your local club or the Play Bowls website

It's been another busy week here at the Old Central School where our art group meets on a weekly basis. To find out more of what we are up to read the attached newsletter.

Where to find us: - We meet at the Old Central School Hall 57 Wood St Papakura every Wednesday 12-3:30pm
What do we offer: - Free painting time, Art Tuition with experienced Artists Demonstrations and tips, a great book and DVD library, Workshops, Social interaction, Exhibitions, Competition, Plein Air days, a weekly newsletter, free tea and coffee available; make it yourself and bring along your lunch for a sit down and chat from mid-day.
What we use: - Our members work in watercolour, pastels, acrylics, oils, pencil/pen and charcoal and mixed media.
Who are we: - We are a very active group of people who welcome new members and who are always willing to help if you need some help.
