Heirloom Tomato Plants and Other Vegetables
Labour Weekend is the traditional time for planting tomatoes. We think it is still a bit early to be planting outdoors as the ground temperature has not warmed up sufficiently and the weather is pretty variable. However, you can get your plants off to a great start in a pot in a sunny spot for a couple more weeks. They'll thank you for the tlc!
Zucchini, beans and snow peas can be planted straight away. Capsicum and chilli still a couple of weeks away. So come on down to the Waikanae Market on Saturday morning or Otaki on Sunday and see what we have this week.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
