Dry Wood Trunks/Branches
Hi
I am looking for any unwanted dry wood branches, logs, no bigger than 10inch/26cm wide. If possible, depending on a 6x4 trailer load I will pay a gate duty price (discuss with owner). I have my own chainsaw, so can cut to fit on trailer?

Tauranga Council-private cocktail party
So-here is the latest news. The Council is to host a private cocktail party on the waterfront (not that private then) for 150 invitees to celebrate the city's transformation and progress. The list of invitees is secret (nothing new in that with the track record of the commissioners). Can Council and the commissioners be any more tone deaf? Having a cocktail party with, I assume, canapes when :
1. We are facing a 7% rates rise in a cost of living crisis.
2. Businesses have closed because of the "progress made"
3. We continue to to suffer significant inconvenience in "orange cone
city".
4. We have 4 commissioners who tried to subvert democracy by
asking to remain as unelected overlords at Council.
But really-a private cocktail party? On the waterfront? With, presumably, gates and security guards patrolling to prevent the riff raff getting in. Tone deaf.

National average asking price virtually unchanged for over a year
Since January 2023, the national average asking price has remained stable. At $868,877, it is down a marginal 0.6% on April last year. The national average asking price has remained below $900,000 since December 2022, a significant decrease from the market peak in January 2022 when it exceeded $1 million.
“As we move into the winter months, we typically see a cooling market, and in 2024, this is combined with a softening economy. It will be interesting to see how these factors play out for the property market in the coming months,” says Sarah Wood, CEO of realestate.co.nz
