Trucking noise

What's your experience with pre-fabricated homes?
The Sunday Star-Times is looking into the rise of transportable/ kit-set/ pre fabricated homes. The upsides are build-efficiency, quality of design, and cost. The downsides appear to be land supply, red-tape with council and difficulty getting lending from banks. Marinoto Rest Home is described as ‘the jewel in Inglewood’s elderly-care crown’, and is owned by the Inglewood Welfare Society, a charitable non-profit organisation.
It was set up by the community for the community in 1971, and as such there is a deep sense of pride as the homes’ dedicated staff strive to provide residents with what is essentially, their home away from home.
