CityLink users offered free ‘Bee Card’ until 31 August
Whangarei’s CityLink public buses are now able to accept a new contactless ‘Bee Card’. Bee Card is a new prepaid card, also being adopted by a number of other regions around New Zealand as part of a move towards a cashless society.
While cash will still be accepted on CityLink buses, Bee Cards should make boarding faster and easier for passengers.
To help people get started with the Bee Card, the card fee for online orders will be waived until Monday 31 August, after which Bee Cards will cost $5.
Please read NRC's media release for full details.
Poll: Would you want an unconventional funeral?
Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Hi all I just received a phone call from 246347198 which had a recorded message stating that my Vodafone contract has been terminated.
