Meadowbank & St Johns Residents Association - AGM 9/6/20
Our Annual General Meeting will be held at St Chads Church, 38 St Johns Rd on Tuesday 9th June at 7:30pm, all are welcome to attend.
The meeting will start with the usual short AGM formalities followed by a brief address from OLB Chair Scott Milne who will provide an update on the Council's Emergency Budget Consultation, then our guest speaker followed by a light supper.
Our guest speaker will be Aaron Smail, General Manager Development of the Summerset Group speaking on their new development on St Johns Rd (Parsons Paddock), providing full details of the development and able to answer any queries and questions.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
