He conveniently forgot to add that most people there commented how clean the whole area is now, with the addition at last, of the new Jumbo rubbish bin, etc. Also how clean the toilet block was. For his information, its not only back-packer & foreigners that use the area, there also are a substitutional number of ordinary Kiwi motor homers using the area, in their hard earned retirement. The emotional rhetoric being pushed by the local news media's needs a swift kick in the butt to touch. These are mostly ordinary people trying to mind their own business and have a wee relaxed break. Can the news media try and break-out of this crazy PC, follow the "Lead- Leeming view" and be a bit more unbiased in a report.

Emergency Mobile Alerts are not meant to replace other emergency alerts, or the need to take action after natural warnings.
You still need to be prepared for an emergency and you should not wait to get an alert before you act. If you feel your life is in danger, don’t wait for an official warning. Take immediate action.
