What's Your Story?

Lel Crosthwaite-Scott from PublishMe | Self-Publishing Made Easy

A trend we've noticed since lockdown is the sudden influx of memoirs and family histories. We've had a ton of them, and they're still flooding in. It's an amazing gift to leave your descendants; the story of who you are and how you lived your life, straight from the horse's mouth. So, if you have some spare time over the holidays, why not make a start on yours? You might not think your life has been interesting enough, but your kids and grandkids will disagree, guaranteed. I'm only 54, and the changes in the world, and particularly in technology since I was young are simply astonishing.
So, get on it in your spare time and tell those sometimes funny and sometimes tragic happenings for posterity. If you get stuck on anything, we're here to help you tell your story, whether via phone on (06) 7530021 or 0272 118653 or by email to Giles or Lel Scott at giles@businesswritingservices.co.nz or lel@businesswritingservices.co.nz, or through the free writing tips on our website: www.publishme.co.nz...

Downsizing can open the door to a new stage of your life that is rich in opportunity. However, it can be a daunting prospect. If you are embarking on a new chapter of life, the thought of shedding familiar possessions can feel even more stressful. This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.

Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
