Chamber Music Contest, Methodist Centre, Wednesday June 4

Chris from Lynmouth - Moturoa

Chamber Music NZ holds an annual chamber music contest for secondary schools, around NZ regions each year. This is the 80th year it has been held and is NZ's longest running music contest. The Taranaki district contest will be next Wednesday June 4 at the Methodist Centre. This will consist of 3 separate sessions with each session stating at 2pm, 4.20 pm and 7pm respectively. There will be 33 chamber music groups competing from Taranaki Secondary schools with more than 100 musicians playing a wide variety of instruments including percussion and a wide range of genres.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear some lovely music from our very talented youth. Admission by Koha.
