Your Neighbours Need Your Assistance Today
Hi Kevin from Vincent de Paul again. Are you able to assist?
We are here 24/7 for people in need. We work with and assist all the agencies in New Plymouth who are also there to assist as needed. But at times we run out of household items that most of us take for granted. For example a fridge, washing machine, queen and single beds, drawers, table and chairs, pots and pans, down to knives forks & spoons.
If you have clean, quality items that you do not need any more, give me a call and we will pick them up and deliver them to your neighbours in New Plymouth and the surrounding area. Please try not to donate items that are dirty or broken. Thank you neighbours.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
