The role would suit someone who would describe themselves as a people-person, but it can be quite physically demanding so any prospective candidate would need to be fit and comfortable with lifting and moving items around.
The store is open from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday, so availability between 10am-12pm, or 12-2pm would be handy.
Expected results: To be reliable and able to learn on the job quickly.
To offer professional and courteous customer service.
Be willing to offer any suggestions regarding the shop operation.
What kind of volunteers do they need: Punctual, reliable and friendly. Physically fit and able
Someone with retail experience would be helpful, but not a requirement.
Someone with general maintenance skills would be welcome as well.
Special personality requirements: Be able to relate to all walks of life.
What training do they provide? Information about the All Heart NZ operation and how the Waitara store fits in.
On the job training regarding the operation of the till and the basics of running the store.
Supervision when necessary.
Health and safety induction.
