To Whom it may concern,
I recently called the council to voice my concern and frustration at the disgusting amount of dog faeces on the track down to the Tapuae beach.
This beach is a designated dog walking beach and yet there are no facilities or signs that encourage owners to pick up and dispose of their dog faeces in a responsible way.
My sister and I are regular walkers of this track and find that we spend more time looking down to avoid stepping in dog Poo than looking up to enjoy the view.
Please can I formally request that a bin be provided along with a notice to remind dog owners that this will not be tolerated. This may encourage better habits.
I am sure that it is only a handful that is spoiling it for the majority , but over the past year it has got worse.
I notice that other areas do provide bins so please can this be considered and actioned as soon as possible
With thanks
Elizabeth Wilkinson Oakura
