Jacq Dwyer, President of the Patea Historical Society will be speaking about South Taranaki history, and Ian Church's new book, Salutary Punishment. This tells the story of members of two Maori tribes, Pakakohi and Parihaka, who were sent to prison in Dunedin in 1869-1881.
