Come help us celebrate our 80th anniversary!
Kia ora neighbours, NZ Gardener is marking an incredible 80 years of inspiring and informing New Zealand gardeners and we want to celebrate with you! Join NZ Gardener editor Jo McCarroll for bubbles, canapes and a wildly engaging romp through the magazine’s archive. With the much-loved gardening magazine celebrating 80 years in print, Jo will share the best practical tips and tricks gleaned from the back issues, as well as reflect on New Zealand’s horticultural history. Ticket holders will also receive:
* an early copy of the anniversary special edition.
* a goody bag packed with gardening paraphernalia.
* a brand new Jack Hobbs-bred Hebe 'The Gardener' plant, released to mark this amazing milestone.
* drinks, canapes and spot prizes.
Numbers are limited, so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. We'd love to see you there.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
