We are delighted to have over 150 artworks from local and national artists available for purchase in a silent and live auction at the St Joseph's Parish Hall, Devon St West - just up from the clock tower, opposite WR Phillips.. Pre-viewing is available on Thursday 14th November from 3-7pm and from 5pm on Friday 15th November. Live Auction starts at 7pm on Friday 15th November. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
