Goods stolen when food delivered?

Sharon from Whalers Gate

Hi all,
Has anyone has a similar theft?
We ordered from a local restaurant using a web based delivery service that is being used by many take outs and restaurants in New Plymouth - and due to COVID, we chose contactless delivery.
On Friday evening around 7pm we received our order, but up until I was about to leave for work this morning, I had not noticed that my 2 week old pair of safety boots were missing from where they would be sitting by our front door. I searched through the house three times before realising that they must have been stolen by the courier.
Has anyone else had stuff go missing? This is a disgusting abuse of client trust, and although I realise it is not the restaurants fault, and I do not have proof (but will be seriously looking to install cameras outside) I think the public should be made aware that these services are dependant on us the customer - I for one will no longer be ordering for delivery (which will hurt the restaurants) and when we get charged $9.99 for this service on top of the food, I think the owners of the ‘service’ should look very seriously at their staff and how these thefts are bringing their company’s name into disrepute.

Share your New Zealand music memories...

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It's NZ Music Month and New Zealand really has some beautiful songs from artists that we call our own.

Whether it's April Sun in Cuba, Don't Forget your Roots, or How Bizarre or Bic Runga's 'Sway' - songs have a way of unlocking memories and evoking old feelings.

In honour of NZ Music Month, share a New Zealand song or artist that is special to you and explain why.
