A week of winter feasting with Taranaki’s fabulous restaurants, cafés and bars is on and The Good Home is a part of it!
The Good Home has some great special meals for you to try along with our normal menu.
One that is proving very popular is our Surf and Turf.
A flame-grilled sirloin with smoked garlic pomme puree, grilled prawns and crumbed scallops with a garlic shallot and herb butter. It is absolutely delicious. And for only $35, a bargain to boot.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
