Red Cross New Plymouth 18 Gover street. Has a couple of beds in excellent condition. 2 single beds and single mattresses. Plus we have other great furniture. Plus clothes on sale racks. Some Children’s clothes are 10 for $1.00. Plus new stock going out daily. A good selection of toys and children’s books. Open 7 days a week. Volunteers needed if you can help call on in to the shop.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
