Council board members paid $120 an hour

Christina Persico Reporter from Taranaki Daily News

Hi neighbours,

My name is Christina Persico and I am the New Plymouth District Council reporter for the Taranaki Daily News. I was at a meeting yesterday and the councillors were discussing how much they should pay the people who sit on the boards for council-owned companies. It comes to the equivalent of about $120 an hour for the airport board.

What do you think about this? Have a read of the story (read more link below) and send us a letter to the editor: email editor@dailynews.co.nz.

And let me know your council concerns: christina.persico@stuff.co.nz.

Have a good one :)

How much pain are you in? Lower back pain, shoulder pain, pelvic pain, sciatica, headaches, chronic pain, old injuries, hip pain?
Try Bowen Therapy!

Bowen Therapy is a soft tissue fascia release therapy. It does not manipulate; it is non-invasive and very gentle.

Bowen helps to relieve tension, pain, and helps settle the nervous system.

Turn downsizing stress into strength

Jean Sandel Retirement Village

Downsizing can open the door to a new stage of your life that is rich in opportunity. However, it can be a daunting prospect. If you are embarking on a new chapter of life, the thought of shedding familiar possessions can feel even more stressful. This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.

Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
