Perhaps the council could consider signs at park entrances before spraying herbicides in future. The spray operators wear masks, but people and dogs can't, and the areas could be avoided if they were alerted. Today large areas were sprayed, there was a strong odour, and roundup could be a carcinogen. Please, council? What do others think?
I have a referendum available for anyone that would like to have their say on Arial poisoning of our country. This referendum is from the government. If we get enough signatures then you can choose on next year's election papers a yes or no to inhumane poisons.
Pm me if you want to sign this referendum.
Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - Maori Language Week - was the theme of our meeting last Wednesday evening. Members were encouraged to incorporate the Word of the Day ‘rangatahi’ in their speaking roles throughout the night.
Conservation Week - Te Wiki Tiaki Ao Tūroa - inspired the topics for our one minute impromptu speeches.
We hope our guests - Rob, Emma, Keira and Corbyn - enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
