Kirsty McMurray Reporter from Taranaki Daily News

Taranaki's Anzac Day commemorations begin early with dawn parades all around the mountain. Will you be attending?

In New Plymouth the dawn service begins with a march at 6am from the corner of King and Queen Sts to the Cenotaph.
At 10am a civic service will be held at the cenotaph.

Okato has a service at 10.15am at the Hempton Hall and at Inglewood, marchers will gather outside Hammer Hardware at 5.45am to march to the cenotaph for 6am.

Waitara RSA's dawn parade leaves the RSA club at 5.45am to march to the cenotaph for a service at 6am. A parade will leave the RSA at 9.45am to march to the civic ceremony at 10 in the Waitara War Memorial Hall.

Urenui has a service in the community centre at 10am and at Uruti a service begins in the church at 10am while at Awakino there is a service in the hall at 11am.

In Stratford, the dawn service will be held at the Cross of Sacrifice outside the War Memorial Centre, Miranda St at 5.55am.
The parade begins at 10.30am, starting from the RSA building on Miranda St, marching to the southern roundabout. It will then proceed along Broadway to the northern roundabout, turning onto Regan Street and Miranda street to end at the War Memorial car park for the start of the civic service.
Following the parade a civic service will be held at the War Memorial Centre at 11.00am. The wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Cross of Sacrifice following the civic service. A cup of tea will follow the wreath laying.
