Vodafone mobile and data strength
Seldom I post but feel this needs to be addressed- Vodafone coverage in the Tasman/Nelson area (including Golden Bay) from my personal experience is third world. Not good enough Vodafone! My Samsung smart phone drops calls, cant receive text messages, and is rendered useless because Vodafone will not allocate sufficient bandwidth for this region to justify the extraordinary fees we (i) have been paying for over 20yrs. Its barely dial-up speed for both mobile and data feeds! My location is not even 1.5kms from Richmond town center.
The Vodafone store gave feedback they are powerless as they're only a retail outlet. So I phoned Vodafone and amazingly I got through to customer services in Auckland. They advised I do a 'pin drop' response to my complaint. You'll find this on my vodafone- search 'pin drop'. Here I was able to log my location for dropped calls, poor service etc. We need to vote with our feet, fellow neighbours- the more 'pin drops' for this region, the greater the chance Vodafone will stop fraudulently scamming us and provide a useful service to match what we pay.
Please take a few minutes to log your 'pin drop'- the greater the numbers the more likely they will push a button and allocate more bandwidth and speed to our region.

Cheers,
D.
