And also those who attended the first mid-winter 'fire festival' event in the Brook when I ran to the top of the Sugarloaf to get the fire. Sorry I can't remember who was there but I'd like to regroup the occasion, with Matariki almost here again.

Has anyone seen our cat, Rockie? He has moved out and only comes home for a quick bite at breakfast and dinner. We’re wondering where he’s sleeping and if someone is looking after him. We live on Scotland Street. Thanks!

Two nights ago we were dispatched at 2.10am to Murchison for a medical emergency. It was extremely foggy and we were only able to make it to the Owen and landed there while a St John Ambulance brought the patient to us. We then flew the patient to Nelson Hospital where they were treated. Without night vision goggles and the way the weather was, there would be no way we would have been able to get to them. It would have been a long journey to Nelson Hospital in the ambulance and potentially a different outcome. These goggles really are vital in our safety and also finding you.
