GirlGuiding is a fantastic space for young women and girls to meet and socialise with other girls outside of school, feel a sense of belonging, and contribute to their community. The girls learn new skills, learn about their place in the world, and gain a real sense of achievement in earning badges for their efforts. Most importantly – it is a great space for them to be young and just have some fun!

If your daughter would like to come along for a visit, please register at girlguidingnz.org.nz... and our Girl Recruitment Co-Ordinator will be in touch.

Please also like and share this post so we can grow our Guiding family here in Nelson, we hope to see you soon! 😊

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
