Letitia the Lonely Turkey
This is Letitia the Turkey. She was found at the Waimarama Community Gardens and has been hanging out with my chickens. She is desperate for some company as the chickens are a bit scared of her. Do you have a turkey or turkeys that she could come and live with? I am very fond of her – as are other visitors to the Gardens – but for her own well-being it would be better if she could be with her own kind. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Calling all those in Wheelchairs
Hi, I'm Simon .... a 44 yr old wheelchair user who wants to meet others in a similar position as myself (particularly a woman). I've been a sole parent now for almost 18 years and my son has just left the nest, so I thought it was time to start on the next stage of my life. I have cerebral palsy that effects just my legs (kinda the reason I can't walk) sooooooo if any of you are interested in getting to know me, flick me a message. I enjoy spending time with my son when he comes to visit and my pets (1 cat and 2 birds), I also enjoy building computers as well as a bit of gaming/watching TV too.
