AGM Waimarama Community Gardens
Our AGM will take place on Sunday, November 27th at 2pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend. It will be held at the Gardens outside if weather is fine. Please advise your intention of attending to Sally Rees on 0211709443. Our 3 raffles will be drawn at the meeting and there are still tickets left at $3 each. The main raffle is a box full of goodies valued at $350. 2nd raffle is a lovely basket and a painting from a local artist. 3rd prize is a lovely package from The Swedish Bakery.

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
