My Plant Stall THEFT OF PLANTS

Pamela from Upper Moutere

Hi All,
Sadly after only 2 weeks of being open I have in the last 24 hours had the following plants stolen from my plant stall:
1 fan palm $8
1 tomato plant $4
1 Tamarillo Tree $5
1 Thyme $3

This has happened this evening, at the same time as we discovered a wallet next to the stall. We have just returned it to the owner who has told us that it had this afternoon been stolen from his house with close to $500 in it. I would guess that maybe both thefts are related.

Annoyingly, with a heavy heart last weekend we had we bought some security cameras but they have only arrived this afternoon, so just missed the opportunity to catch who did this.

They are now INSTALLED and will catch any future theft.

Someone will recognise our little mixed bag of plants as well as perhaps someone with a wad of cash. Please encourage them to either pay for the plants or bring them back.
It saddens me that our country has become a place that challenges our trust and that I knew that this would eventually happen to my little plant stall. Shame.

Poll: Should upgraded heritage buildings reflect the different eras and updates they’ve gone through over time?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Nelson City Council is working to restore the glasshouse at Broadgreen House, which has begun to crack and buckle.

We want to hear your thoughts: should heritage restoration aim to keep buildings looking as they originally did, or should it reflect the different eras and updates they’ve gone through over time?

Keen for the details? The Nelson Mail has you covered.
