Repair Cafe at ReStore, 166 Tahunanui Drive
The next NTCF Repair Cafe being held in Nelson is at Restore, 166 Tahunanui Drive on 17th July. 10am to 1pm. We have a slightly wider range of volunteer repairers this month including two people who will be able to help with hardware and software issues on computers, plus phones. Our usual sewing folk will be present including arts/craft/up cycling/general mending and an upholsterer; plus - an electrician, the wonderful Waimea Mens Shed guys to help with wood work issues, small furniture repairs, wooden toy repairs etc. Bike repairs and leather stitching are also part of the day.
We ask for Koha as we need $100 to pay for our room rent.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
