In addition playing Amazing Grace at 1100am,(a suggestion from Australia), is being promoted.
A tune at dawn could take place between 20 to and 10 to 6, the normal time we would begin an ANZAC parade. Finishing at 10 to 6 allows time for the start of the official RSA/radioNZ service. Awareness of, and notification to your neighbourhood will provide residents with the choice of opening or closing their windows, however it is ANZAC and on this day bagpipes at dawn are very common.
The RSA, NZ Heritage and Australian RSL are all very supportive. It is envisaged this would take place throughout the country so national TV, for greater exposure, will also be contacted.
Further promoting of this suggestion through social media and neighbourly is appreciated.
It would be fantastic hearing that hundreds of pipers have taken part.

With numerous gigs, concerts and festivals postponed or cancelled as a result of the level 4 response, we want you to dance the lockdown away with the new Neighbourly Spotify Playlist! Make your suggestions in the comments below - recommend anything you like on there, as well as tunes you think your Neighbours will enjoy. Chuck in some taste-breakers, one-hit wonders or some good old Kiwi classics - it really doesn’t matter. So if you’re running out of ideas on things to do, why not a dance party?
Just remember: keep it PG, refrain from putting any songs in the mix that may cause offence to your Neighbours. You can find the playlist here.
Happy raving NZ!
