What do you remember about your teachers from primary school?
We're looking to write a fun story about what teachers got away with back in the day before the 90s made much of it taboo. I had a teacher who would dangle naughty kids out the window by their feet, and one leathery old teacher who would get her favourite students to rub her feet while reading us a story. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
