When spoken to , they were clearly quite ignorant about the various rules and regulations surrounding drone operation. ie flying over private property without permission is not allowed. Sadly they seemed to think these rules did not apply to them and they could fly wherever. I have spoken to all involved ( including a parent) and hopefully that is the end of the matter. Drone use is increasing and I make this posting to alert people to be aware of their rights and responsibilities as am quite sure this issue will present itself again in the future ( and may have done so already). There is plenty of useful information on line. I suggest the following as a start www.airshare.co.nz...

This is one of the activities the Cancer Society puts on and is a lot of fun, (if you want it to be) :D Part of our initiative is to hold a garage sale in the Suburban Club carpark Dec 3rd starting around 9am so if you have any unwanted stuff lying around, we would be grateful and happy to take it off your hands.
