Join the weaving workshop for adults and their children

Riverside Milk

Weaving Workshop: This Thursday, 13th July, 2pm to 4pm at Riverside Community Centre in Lower Moutere.

Come with your special young person and learn how to make beautiful Catalan trays out of eco-friendly materials. This simple, hands-on workshop is great for beginners.

You'll both transform willow and hazel into strong trays perfect for bread, cheese, or even as a food serving board. Moreover, it's a great way to build creativity, patience, and teamwork, and see how your child's fine motor skills and concentration develop.

When you're done, you'll have unique and lovely trays to use on your table or display on your walls when not in use. Let's have fun, create, and learn together.

$25 per adult-child pair. Bookings essential: www.riverside.org.nz...

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
