Free Parenting and Life Skills Course - starts soon!

Paul McGregor from Adult Learning Support

Hey neighbours, we've got a Parenting and Life Skills course coming up. Do you know anybody who might be keen?

Who's it for? Well, let's see...

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦ You're a mum with a little terror who's under 5...

😩 You often get frustrated and tired with them...

πŸ˜‚You want to learn some tips to make parenting easier... (Those are tears of joy on the emoji, after all.)

πŸ“˜You wish you could read to your baby

πŸ’° You're unsure how you'll make ends meet once they go to school.

Then this is your course.

Brain development. Fitness. Cooking. Legal rights. Stopping violence. Reading. Play. It's all in here!

It doesn't cost you a cent and runs for 10 weeks. It's from 10.30 to 2.30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The first session is on 3 October at the All Saints creche at 30A Vanguard St.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days β€” the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
